Healthy Habits Doodles clip art UPDATED

Added a few images to my Healthy Habits Doodles clip art set.  If you've already purchased this head on over to my TN or our TPT store and redownload it so you can get the additional images.  I created this set after we did our Healthy Habits unit last year and didn't quite get everything I wanted in the set...so I decided to draw a shower stall and a shampoo bottle to add to it.  Who knows...I may update it again if I realize I left something out.

You can find this at my TPT store HERE.
You can find this at my Teacher's Notebook clip art store HERE.

I'm actually ahead of my game and got some clip art done before the actually holiday is upon us.  Partly because my co-worker, Christine, motivated me so we could finish a writing project we are going to be doing for Valentine's Day this year...and another co-worker, Sara, who wanted some hearts for a Mimio sign in sheet she wanted for her class.  Anyway, I guess whatever it takes, it gets me drawing and them I can't stop until its complete.  Here is my Valentine Doodles set with includes both BW and full-color PNG images.

Visual Bathroom Schedule FREEBIE

For those of you who have young students in your classroom that need a visual reminder to use the bathroom during scheduled times during the day, here's something I made on Friday that I started using today with one of my students.  Keeping my fingers crossed, but this worked great today!  Hoping its something that we can use for a while and discontinue, but if not...hope its something that will continue to keep him on track.
  • Simply print the two sheets that have the picture of the playground and laminate them.  Attach each to a clip board and mount Velcro to the green, yellow, and red squares.
  • Cut out the toilet pictures (or use pictures of your student), laminate and mount Velcro to the back side.
  • Place one clip board at the students desk and the other by the classroom bathroom door.  Before going outside for recess they need to take the bathroom picture to the chart that hangs on the bathroom door.
  • If they need a bathroom break before getting on the bus to go home, simply have them take all the toilets and bring them to the chart at their spot and they’ll be ready for the next day.
You can find this FREEBIE at our TPT store HERE.

Hope this is something that you can use...there is always something like this that comes up that you need to make.  So I hope that its something that saves you a little time.

Chocolate Hugs and Kisses Doodles FREEBIE Clip Art set

Per request from one of my 1st grade co-workers, Sara, I whipped up these little Hershey's Hugs and Kisses clip art images for something she wanted to make that she found on Pinterest.  Pinterest...Which I have come to realize is the BEST place to search for fun ideas and bookmark them so you remember them.  However, I do have to say that it is also another addiction to add to my obbsessive list of things to do each day.  Anybody out there tend to be pin-happy and forget what they've pinned?

Included in this clip art set:  BW and full-color images
unwrapped Kiss with tag, unwrapped Hug with tag, wrapped Kiss, wrapped Hug

MLK Jr. "I Have a Dream" Writing Craftivity

Here is a craftivity that we have planned for the week of January 21st. Students will be learning about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. We will ask our students to write about what their own personal dream is for the world. What do they wish our world would be like?

Included are 10 different writing sheets and two different MLK toppers.  The one with the arm pointing up was drawn by me and the other one with just MLK in his suit and tie was a freebie image from Melonheadz Illustrating.  There was also some cute MLK clip art that I used that I found on TPT by Michael Rawls that was also free.

We like to switch things up a little bit each year, so decided to create a few different stationary options and different peeker toppers to modify this.

If this is something you'd like, you can find this crafivity at my TPT store HERE.

We would love your feedback!

Money Doodles with FREEBIE Check Blank image

Well, this set I would have to say took me the longest of all sets I've worked on.  Not that there are more images, but there was so much more detail in creating these coins look real.  I've very happy with how they turned out.  But I'm sick of working on them, and its time to move on to something else!  :)

And for all our faithful followers, our FREEBIE check blank:

    Healthy Habits Riddles

Just finished our Healthy Habits Riddles set that we plan to use in the next few weeks.  We will be learning about ways to stay healthy (dental health, personal hygiene, eating healthy, exercise).

If you haven't seen our riddles sets yet, the way you use this with our whole class is by passing the picture cards out to your students as they sit at your carpet.  Read aloud the riddles clues and students have to listen for the clues for their picture.  When they hear their clue they get to bring their picture to you.  Our first graders LOVE these activities.  Some people have said they utilize these type of riddles sets in a center.

Riddles are included for:  tooth, cavity, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, dentist, tooth fairy, kleenex/tissue, bathtub, soap, hands, nose, comb, brush, bed (sleep/rest), apple (healthy snack), sledding (winter exercise)

You can get this HERE at our TPT store.
